About Dime and Dollar
Health insurance and medical bills are confusing on purpose, or at least it feels that way. We write plain-English guides to choosing a plan, paying less for care, checking every bill, and knowing your rights when something looks wrong.
What we do
We publish health care cost guides, a health plan cost calculator, a medical bill decoder, the Health Costs checklist and a free printable Medical Bill Workbook. We send The Bill Check to people who sign up for it, and we're preparing the Medical Bill Toolkit, a paid set of templates.
What we don't do
- We aren't an insurer, broker, provider or billing advocate.
- We don't give medical advice.
- We don't earn referral fees from insurers, pharmacies or discount programs.
- We never ask for your medical records or bills, and never sell or share your email address.
