Guides / Pay less for care
Urgent care, the ER, or telehealth?
The right place for the problem, and the bill.
Emergency rooms are for emergencies, and they're usually the most expensive place to get care. For non-emergencies, other options can cost much less.

- Severe bleeding or serious injury
- Anything you think may be an emergency
Often fine elsewhere
- Your doctor's office or a same-day appointment
- Urgent care for minor injuries and illnesses
- Telehealth for many routine issues
- Your plan's 24-hour nurse line, if it has one
